Where can I buy chicken andalouse sausage that doesn't have a pork casing? Most ones I've seen, including from Trader Joe's, has a pork casing.
Or is there a really good vegetarian option? |
| Can you just take it out of the casing? |
| How is it vegetarian if its chicken? |
| We've had best luck on pork-free sausage from Trader Joes, and I'm surprised you struck out there. Try Whole Foods... if you go early enough you can snag sausages at the counter before they put the casings on. |
Um. Chicken preferred, OR vegetarian, is fine. PP, we don't eat pig or pork products at all, and would really not like to have chicken meat that is stored in pork casing. Yeah, TJ usually has great options, but you have to check the package carefully. A lot of their chicken sausages are cased in pork, if you read the fine print :-\ |

Amylu sausage is virtually always at Costco (Pentagon City), it comes in a 3 pack and we freeze it and you have 3 months or so to use it. It has a lamb casing.

Have you asked at WF?
To be really sure, find a halal meat shop. |
| The chicken/turkey sausages they make at WF usually have lamb casings, not pork. I don't eat lamb so that doesn't help me, but if you don't object to that, they have lots of flavors/options. |
