How many maki sushi rolls can you eat?

Had this discussion recently. I usually eat 2 regular rolls (not the special ones piled with stuff). I have, on rare occasions, eaten as many as 5 entire rolls by myself. How many do you usually eat? Or how many *can* you eat?

It depends on what else I have. I usually eat the equivalent of 4-6 pieces of nirigi and 2 whole rolls (usually order 4 rolls and split with DH). If I were just ordering rolls for myself I could probably polish off four on my own. It depends how big they are. I LOVE sushi!

This reminds me of a dinner I attended with some girlfriends. They were watching their figures/budgets, I think. It was decided that we would order 8-10 rolls for the 6 of us. I was thinking "what are you all going to eat?" I could easily have eaten 4 of those rolls myself. I am thin but very active and love to eat.

I eat one (and then something else) - I like sushi, just not much of it.

I can never decide which rolls to get, so I usually get too many. I can eat 4 rolls by myself, but I'm uncomfortably full. But 3? Easy.

I'm the same, but I typically have soup or something with it. Many times I can get away with just one.

My husband and I used to go to a place that had a sushi special for 2. It was maybe 20 pieces of nigiri and 2 rolls total - we'd polish it off (sometimes I couldn't finish my share so he'd get 2-4 extra pieces of the roll). I guess that would be approximately the equivalent of 3 rolls each? 16-18 total pieces of sushi?

We went one time with friends and they ordered two rolls between the two of them. Boy did we feel like pigs!
