Was McDaniel a leading voice in trying to make the KAA school an aviation academy? Just wondering since he has his hand in several aviation-related businesses that started in just the past few years. Was he looking to use the school as a means of furthering his business interests? Is the aviation academy idea dead now or is it still partially alive?

I don't know about behind closed doors, but in meetings and work sessions, he has indicated that he strongly supported a comprehensive high school with traditional boundaries. I did not hear anything about an aviation academy from him--but I have not carefully watched all sessions.

FWIW, the report was quite detailed. I did not see any "propaganda" that you must be expecting. I am grateful that at least one outlet is reporting it. But, why should I share with someone who wishes to stay ignorant?

I’m not an Oakton parent but this is a ridiculous comment. The BRAC will create the boundary proposal and the board will then vote on it.
