Okay is this a first date or are you looking for a "great place for take out lobsters?"

Your wording is unclear. Are you looking to pick up some lobsters to cook at home? You could try Giant. Or if you want better quality, try Whole Foods or Fresh Market.

I don't think you're going to find fish markets around here that sell fresh lobsters, since it's probably outside of the region.

Not a date - it's my parents 40th anniversary and we were thinking we could bring home lobsters (already cooked and prepared). There aren't places that do that around here?

I think most grocery stores will cook them for you. They won't be hot by time you get home and you wouldn't want to reheat them. You could have it cooked at whole foods and then eat it in the dining area, just bring your claw crackers.

If you want to make lobster rolls you can have them cooked at any local grocery store and take them home but again the won't be hot so if you want to do surf and turf etc you need to buy them live and cook at home. Another option is to go out to dinner, the palm always has lobster on the menu.

I love lobsters but I wouldn't want to take one out - those girls can really claw at you when they're mad.

It's better to cook them at home. It's fresher, and you can season the water to taste instead of just pure steam at the stores.

Not sure what you mean by prepared since it's crack and eat. If you're talking about lobster dishes, well, that's called delivery.

Agree. Cooked and prepared could have been 4 days ago. I would go to the Wharf and buy live. If you want a lobster bake, I would head north, but it would probably be awesome.
