Political Discussion
If this is a fight for survival then please go join the IDF and fight, I will respect you more if you did that. Stop trying to spread propaganda from the comfort of your Bethesda home, stop utilizing another country’s resources and its government for survival. Stand on your own two feet. |
You misread what benefits the U.S. as being about Israel. You are not able to understand because your only concern is about Palestinian wants (not needs but wants). What Palestinians want may not be good for the U.S. What Palestinians want isn't by default a morals good, or even a moral issue, or good for the U S. Your physical presence in the U.S. now doesn't mean that this country takes ownership of your desires |
Hamas doesn't stand on its own two feet. |
Are you quoting Trump on Ukraine? |
Fair point. Biden's tens of millions to the PA and billions to Iran have probably had a role too. |
Yes countries do not operate in a vacuum shocking. "Palestine" as you call yourself (you could just to live as Arabs in Israel, that is what I would do", can form partnerships and seek financial assistance as well, but they cannot force this, no matter how many angry protests occur. |
This, as I've explained in detail, is BS. You are taking a valid concern -- that Israeli officials have already lied about specific incidents on 10/7 and therefore MAY do so again -- and tried to create a completely false narrative. I don't think anyone can be as illogical as you appear to be, so I will merely assume that you're lying too. |
Actually, it's "her posts" -- not "his posts." You can give up the libel that any criticism of Israel's credibility is "antisemitic." I can assure you, I'm not the only Jew who believes Israel has some major moral handicaps. |
This is not the PP you are responding to, but I will say if you are telling Jews to fight for their survival, then ok, if/when they fight, don't complains about "babies" and "civilians". |
Show me where I says that "Jews lie." You can't. Israel's government lies its behind off, as is fairly universally agreed. |
Blinken does push back on Israel. I burst Biden /WH wasn’t too happy about the beheaded babies drama and the hospital bombing and Arab leaders cancelling meetings on the eve of Biden going to Israel and the ME . The administration is not hand holding Israel the way a Mitt Romney or Donald Trump or Nikki Haley administration would. |

This is a good point. "If you don't support Hamas and believe everything it says unconditionally, you must be an Islamophobe who wants to genocide all Muslims" makes as much sense as "If you don't support Israel and believe everything it says unconditionally, you must be an antisemite who wants to genocide all Jews." I suspect the previous poster(s) understands this, but they're backed into a corner and can only spew a smokescreen of insults. Which is a very dishonest practice. |
Not the PP (there appear to be multiple contributors to this conversation), but isn't this like asking, "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?" |
They can't show you anything of the sort. Unfortunately, I've come to learn these past few months that some Jews (and even some gentiles who maniacally support Israel's actions for purely racist reasons, including the Evangelicals) are incapable of viewing Israel and the identity of a particular Jewish person as separate constructs. To them, Israel = Jews. And Jews = Israel. So if you criticize the actions of the State of Israel and/or the leadership of the State of Israel and/or the actions of the IDF (which has literally been 100.00% of all criticisms in this DCUM discussion), you ARE criticizing Jews. Moreover, these same people believe that criticism = hatred, which = you want that which you criticize dead. And that's where the anti-semitic flag is thrown with gusto and abandon. Which is all just to say, shut your mouth about Israel or I'll tar you with the "you're an anti-semite" brush that I have by the ready to stop any conversation that I find hitting uncomfortably too close to home. Sacred cow, indeed. |
