restaurants with a no sharing rule

Anonymous
Do these only annoy me? I get that they don't want 2 people to order one entree and split, but why does it really matter? If your portions are large enough for me to share with my BF and STILL have some to take home... what is the problem?

Restaurants with a no-sharing rule are restaurants that don't want me as a customer.

I agree the annoy me, and don't knowingly patron establishments like that. However, if there's a particular dish you're craving, can you do takeout?

If you are taking up space for two, you should order for two.

What restaurants have a no sharing rule?

Because when you share, you minimize the profit they make per table. A small restaurant often has to make a certain amount of profit per table to be able to break even and customers sharing will decrease the profit. They'd rather get a different couple who will order 2 meals.

Because they make less money. But they don't have my business.

They can have whatever rule they want but I am not going there.

That is my point. If you would make $30 on one plate, you will make $0 on the people who don't come because they think tht rule is dumb.

What restaurants? Please post so we can avoid.

We do this --the portions are so large! But we usually order two entrees anyway -- one is a salad.
