| Where can i get guidance about using free weights at home? Not planning to join a gym and would like to add weights to my workout routine. Other than bicep curls i feel a little lost. |

http://www.bodyrock.tv/2011/10/15/bodyrocker-tasha/ http://www.bodybuilding.com/ On you tube I'd probably do a search for free weight exercises. The other two websites have exercise videos, although I haven't looked at them enough to know how many free weight exercise videos there are. Also, if you're on it, pinterest. Loads of links to places that have exercises. Like this one: http://www.womenshealthmag.com/fitness/dumbbell-squat-to-overhead-press?workout=26758 |

i would try some different workout dvds. most usually have an arms section in addition to a full body workout and you can get some different exercises to add.
jillian michaels has some good ones (30 day shred is good but can be jarring on knees, six week six pack uses a dumbell but is a core focused dvd) searching youtube as the pp suggested is a really good idea. also amazon and target have dvds so cheap that if you see one you might like its worth it. |

I LOVE Jari Love's "Get Ripped" videos.
http://www.jarilove.com/ She has some trailers on her site so you can see examples. for her videos, it is good to have a set each of 3 lb, 5 lb, 8 lb, and maybe even higher depending on your fitness level. Also good to have, but not necessary, is a step. I'm about to do her "Ripped and Chiseled" video right now.

| OP, how much room do you have? How much do you want to spend (keeping in mind that it will be cheaper than a gym membership)? A bench, rack, olympic barbell, and olympic weights (all used) would be a good start to a home gym. They're always coming up on craigslist. |
