My Husband and I are tentatively stepping into the private school fray. We have a tour scheduled next week (our child will be in pre-K). What should I expect on a tour? Are they "examining" us at this point - not that I plan to be casual but want to know if schools view the tour as just a tour or as a sort-of preliminary interview? Any thoughts would be helpful. |
If its with an admissions officer, I'm sure they will "judge you" to some extent, but only to see your interest level. They are looking for parents who will fit in to the community - so dress neatly, don't talk on cell phones, ask appropriate questions and be interested in your child's education. If you do all those things, they can hardly write you off - if they do, its not going to get any better during the official interview. |
