I'm going to buy some for a new mom-friend, Any suggestions (for her, not baby)? |
I am a huge fan of Kiehl's. I LOVE that stuff. There is a Kiehl's store in G'town or available at Saks,Neimans or Nordstroms. I also use AVEDA(hand relief). It can be purchased at Aveda salons and stores(Tysons,Fair Oaks).Another favorite is Bliss which can be bought at Sephora,Bloomies,Saks, etc. |
Yum--Bliss' lemon sage is AWESOME.
Also, Laura Mercier's Creme Brulee smells like yellow cake batter and works really well. And yum. |
Maybe something handmade?

I love the Aveda too. I also use one from Bath and Body works--from their spa line. They also sell gloves to wear with the creme at night |
I love Crabtree and Evelyn's "Gardeners Hand Therapy." Fabulous. Not sure if it qualifies as "fancy", but def is not cheap. |
I love the shea butter hand cream from L'Occitane. They're having a big sale now, so you may be able to save some money. |
I second the shea butter l'occitane hand creme. I love that stuff. My second choice is the one from Crabtree & Evelyn (also with shea butter). Basically anything with a good quality shea butter. |
I would do something natural and non irritating. I would wash my hands so much at the newborn stage and then they would get irritated by the fragrance and chemicals in most hand lotions. I love Kiehls as well. LOccitane too. Maybe try Arbonne. |
I used to love Kiehls until it got gobble up by L'Oreal (or some other big cosmetic company), now I do not trust the ingredients. If you want something truly natural and handmade try LUSH - they are a few doors down from Kiehls on M street in Georgetown. |
Definitely L'Occitane!!!!! |
