Is Haycock open to newly found eligible AAP students from upper grades?

Meaning if Haycock is not your base school and you are entering 4, 5 or 6.... And your base school is Chesterbrook, Timber Lane or FS....is Haycock open to these students or are they still being sent to Churchill Road?

Louise Archer is closed to these students and they are being sent to Colvin Run, but Jim Kacur just relented and is now giving them transportation.

Unless something has changed recently, Haycock is still closed to upper grade AAP students not in its base district.

Things changed. Newly eligible 3,4,5 graders from those schools can come to Haycock next year if they want.

I don't believe that either, particularly after they moved all those kids to other centers.

And it is not consistent with what is happening at LA and what Dr. Sheers said earlier in May at her coffee. Did the FCPS change their mind recently? Maybe on the transportation issue?

Wait, what? They made such a big stink out of overcrowding, kicked all those kids out, and are now allowing different kids IN? Why did they not just keep the kids they had and prevent any additional new enrollment?

it's a big difference between number of kids. Not sure why it was reversed, but Dr. Sheers put out a KIT today saying so. I followed up with her and it's 17 kids. Not 125+ Lemon Road kids.

The newly found eligible don't count because they were never slated to go to Haycock. There was never a staff recommendation to grandfather them. So comparing 17 newly eligible Cluster 1 kids to 125 Lemon Road kids is not accurate.

By the way, I actually support allowing the 17 in despite the fact that they kicked kids out. It seems incredibly unfair to require a few kids' parents to provide transportation. So I don't oppose the decision. I just think you should be accurate.

PP. I mean the newly eligible Cluster 2 kids don't count because they weren't slated for Haycock if that wasn't clear form my post.
