GW vs. Columbia for IVF?

Anonymous
We're looking at our options for IVF, and we've narrowed it down to GW and Columbia. Columbia has better success rates, but I know that those don't always tell the full story. Has anyone had any experience with both of these providers?

I've never gone there, but GW has had a lot of turnover lately. Hopefully some of their patients can chime in.

Columbia was awesome, especially Dr. ABASSSI and nursing staff. I am a mom of 3 year old triplets .

I liked GW but wouldn't go there now--they're down to one doctor. I wouldn't risk my procedures being done at an inopportune time due to scheduling issues.

I knew that Dr. Dayal left last year. Which other doctor left? I hope not Frankfurter - he is great.

Wouldn't most doctors consider this an IVF failure?

Gindoff left. They're getting another doc this summer and they're have been no scheduling issues. Dr F is a pro and does everything and it's seamless. It took me a month to even figure out Gindoff had left.

I went CFA to GW...and back to CFA (Abbasi.) Had no success with either clinic...but greatly preferred CFA.

I go to GW now. They are down to one doctor (Dr. Frankfurter), but I've always been able to get appointments and I really like that I can email him questions and he gets back to me within the same day. I just found out I am pregnant too! After my 2nd IVF cycle there.

Maybe I don't know enough about this stuff but why would this be considered a failure? She got pregnant. Serious question.

Because triplets are not optimal for mother's health and likelihood of healthy/live babies. Singleton is more likely to go to term. BUT it seems as if the triplets PP hit the jackpot w/ 3 healthy babies! (Also- A LOT of people would not want 3 infants!!!

No experience with GW, but have a 3 year old- and working on a sibling- with Dr. A at CFA. Pleased, esp in comparison with SG.

I've tried both and yes Dr Abbasi is amazing.
She explores what the problem is .

It sounds like a medical person talking about the triplets , you have an option to reduce.
