bikini wax while pregnant?

Anonymous
I believe it is perfectly safe to get a bikini wax while pregnant, but I think it would be even more uncomfortable than normal. I am only 23 weeks right now, expecting at the end of the summer, and was wondering what other people have done/ are planning on doing since I doubt I will be any good at shaving when I can't lean over properly to see what I am doing.

Waxed all the way through. Wasn't terribly more uncomfortable than it always is.

I quit waxing while pregnant b/c I sometimes bled from waxing anyway, which is really gross and uncomfortable, and I figured that would be worse while pregnant b/c of higher blood volume.

In fact I never started again after my baby was born. Somehow going through labor changed my view of the pain of waxing and made me unwilling to go through it when it is basically pointless. I got a Groupon for laser hair removal and am doing that instead. I'm not done yet, but each session is a LOT less painful than waxing.

+1
I just had one at Bliss, and it was fine except ridiculously overpriced. My normal woman was out of town, so I broke down. Now I'll be going back to her! (Michelle at Bang at the Verizon center).
Just be sure you go to a clean place with someone experienced. Which I'm sure you already know!

As a side, I find it more painful to get my brows down now! Not that it would stop me...

I did it throughout my pregnancy. It was slightly more painful, but worth it.

I don't find it any more/less uncomfortable.

Much better than trying to angle yourself in front of a mirror to make sure you didn't miss a spot!

Amazing that no one else thinks it's acceptable to be natural, even during pregnancy! I just can't be bothered, and I hate the porn-induced pressure to be bare, so it's natural for me.

So your personal preference is better?

For some of us, it is just that - a personal preference. It has nothing to do with 'porn induced pressure'

I had my first bikini wax EVER when I was 37 weeks pregnant. I like to keep things trimmed down there but couldn't see anymore, so I looked to a professional. It was fine and I actually liked the results so much that I've been back post partum! No reason not to do it.

I am curious what kind of swim wear you wear. I find that it is nice to be trim and find it uncomfortable to be unkempt oops I mean natural in the summer. Especially when I am running around in a bathing suit.

This. I can't see my bikini line anymore, but that doesn't mean other people can't! I'm not into bare either, but since when does a bikini wax HAVE to equal bare? I just want to tame the bush a bit!

Let's just say this once more. After I read this I was like huh? I hate hair, and I don't want it there. Has nothing to do with porn. If that were the case I would be bleaching my anus too.

I don't think that's safe to do during pregnancy....
