Does the school already know which students made eligibility?

Shrevewood ES already knows and has notified parents because their orientation is this week. Any others?

Yes, according to info posted on another thread, "Any AAP letters?" Calls were made to parents of AAP-eligible Shrevewood students on Saturday, so all schools must have gotten the info by Friday. I wouldn't see why some schools would have gotten the info already and others not.

Did anyone get a call or email from any other school yet?

Anyone in Floris ES gotten AAP eligibility letters yet?

Letters were mailed out either yesterday or today from the Central AAP office. Expect them to start coming later this week. Shrevewood was called and should also be receiving a letter.

If a child was in the pool or was a parent referral, a letter should come this week stating what level services will be offered to that child. The letter will state Level III or Level IV, etc....

Just called AAP office. Letters will be mailed today so you might see them tomorrow or thursday. Everybody gets a letter, eligible or otherwise.

curious what grade this applies to? Parents of what grade children receive these accepted/denied letters?

It will be mostly second-graders (rising third-graders), plus a small number of any other higher-grade students who may have applied or reapplied.

i.e., refuse to take no for an answer.

Oh come on....just because someone reapplied doesn't mean anything about refusing to take no for an answer. It may mean that AAP seems like an appropriate choice for that student now, but wasn't in the past. It may mean the child has an emotional issue that he or she is working thru. It may mean that the parent wasn't in the know last year about the whole process and didn't know what a parent referral was or that it needed to be done if the child was not in the pool. If you don't like hearing about situations like this, then please do us all a favor and consider stop reading because you WILL hear about it again on these threads...
