Aidan Montessori Elementary Program for gifted child?

There's been lots posted about Montessori preschools, including Aidan, but does anyone have experience with Aidan for its elementary program? We'd be looking at it for a rising first-grader who reads at an upper-elementary level already and is also advanced in math (currently doing 3rd-grade math). We haven't been thrilled with our public school and are considering Aidan.

Would be especially curious as well as to whether Aidan fosters a kind, nurturing social environment and well Montessori kids make friends/socialize (I say that only because DS is already somewhat of a loner and I would want him to be able to make friends, not because I think Montessori kids in general aren't socialize, LOL).

Also, we have no previous Montessori experience--will that be held against us if we do decide to apply? And do any new kids come into Aidan at first grade, or is it all continuing students?
