Lodging for cat while selling house?

Anonymous
We will be putting our house on the market soon and expect to have around 3 weeks of time on the market during which we would prefer not to have our cat in the home. What are our best options for longer term (up to 3 weeks) boarding? She's a great cat - but has a tendency to pee on our bed (or elsewhere) when super stressed out. New people stress her out, so new people coming by with great frequency will REALLY stress her out.

What's the best way to handle a temporary cat lodging need?

I had a similar problem. What I ended up doing was buying a kennel/cage for the cat and keeping him in there when the house was being shown. It actually worked well.

Other than that, do you have a friend or relative willing to take the cat?

The only other option is to board the cat at a facility. It will be expensive, though, and very stressful for the cat.

Best of luck! Again, I found that the cage situation worked well. But it worked.
