Economy is roaring

I will never argue on behalf of a Democrat. I will never align myself with any party.

But I will argue this: Trump is not the guy to fix our relationship with China. He has no strategy. He has no diplomacy. He has alienated our allies. The only tool in his toolbox is tariffs. And he is too easy to bribe. You know how this ends? China proposes Trump Tower Beijing (or some other peanuts) and Trump will give China whatever they want. You know it is true.

I don't want him to diplomacy with the Chinese. That's how they walk all over nation's. Got it?

The markets are ignoring the impeachment vote for the obvious reason that the market knows - just like the rest of the country - that Trump will not be removed and this whole exercise is purely political.

S and P 500 almost at 3200 now. Over 18% gain on my 401k this year. Economy is fantastic. We good. I dunno that I'll vote to change things because whatever is going on right now is economically booming.

Evidence to support your allegations?

I liked Obama. Voted for him 2x. However, he easy VERY weak when t came to Geopolitics. China swam laps around him during his presidency, and the biggest mistake in a long time was when he said in the global stage that America would lead from behind. WTH!??? Huge, huge damage to US hegemony. Now China has dug in an virtually invaded the entire South China Sea illegally....and at this point the only way to dislodge them from there would be during a massive world war where once again our Marines would have to fight ridiculously bloody battles from island to fake island to purge every single Chinese soldier on an illegal island. It was a huge mistake to be lenient on the Chinese. American kids will grow up in a world with less wealth and our culture will be under the influence of Chinese censors because China will have too much economic clout that will convince companies and entertainment to self impose censorship. It will be a dystopian world if we do nothing. I don't care if Trump's trade war costs us billions, in the long run it is a drop in the bucket to conceding our way of life to a tyranny run by and oppressive regime who wants to turn the world into 1984. We can be a PITA with China for 50 years for all I care. About time we did something and addressed China's massive trillion dollars theft that's stealing shirts offf our backs. Democrats have offered very little for the last 30 years on showing spine when it has come to China.

That happened in the last three years. You're pointing your finger at the wrong person.

You are wrong.

And even if it started in 2016, which it did not, it meant that the cogs were in motion way before Trump took office. No, I even blame Geogr Bush for being weak too with China. Clinton was very bad too. Obama was SUPER complacent when China was commondeering Vietnamese and Philippine fishing vessels and did nothing to support the Philippines aggressively when they filed their arbitration case against China's illegal invasion...and that was all the way back in 2013.

If the sole criteria is the economy, Trump wins by a mile.

Heck, I'd consider voting for him ......... though I dislike him. Now there are millions of voters who dislike Trump as a person but will give him full credit for the fantastic economy.

What are your measures of a "fantastic economy"?

And we see more record highs in the markets today, the day that Trump is being impeached ......... I guess the market knows that Trump will remain president and is probably anticipating his reelection.

Nah. The market priced in the impeachment a long time ago.

You are measuring the economy on the stock market?
