I think the substance of her claims are quite clear: she is an experienced professional and was fired for doing the job she was hired to do (give her honest evaluation of a pardon application). And then DOJ attempted to intimidate her by the improper use of armed officers. It’s not actually insubordination to do your job. A government attorney concluding that they cannot recommend a particular action is completely within the bounds of professional conduct. The normal course of action would be that her superior would take the case from her. But in Trump’s fascist DOJ, the reaction is retaliation and intimidation. All because Trump world can’t do any better in terms of Hollywood influence then Mel Gibson 🤡 |
+1. (And my editorial comment: the person you are engaging with is insane.) |
I think that person is probably actually in the Trump admin or Heritage. I always find it kind of comforting to see them so desperately and transparently trying to spin events. |
DH is a DUSM. Even if it’s legal it is incredibly rare for the USMS to be used this way. |
The Department of Justice is no longer a functional government department nor an agency ensuring justice.
Rather, under the leadership of the Trump regime’s Princess of Lawless Retribution, the DOJ (now known as Donald’s Obstruction of Justice) is not only dismantling one of our nation’s most important safeguards of justice…but also proactively attacking the Rule of Law with the goal of dismantling the only mechanism with a chance of holding the line against Trump’s obvious evil plan to destroy our democracy. To be clear: he is attacking courts, judges, law firms, law schools, and bar associations the way the military would use drones to destabilize and remove opponents. ICYMI: once the rule of law is gone, you can’t use lawyers, courts, and the peaceful rule of law to get it back. Once it is destroyed, there’s no mechanism to challenge the illegal acts of this Administration. The mechanism will no longer exist. If you think this doesn’t affect you, you are wrong. It affects all of us…you just don’t realize it yet. |
You are describing DoJ under Biden administration. |
Indeed. It is often the party out of power that complains about DOJ overreach when their actions are scrutinized. If those complaining now were silent or excused the Biden DOJs actions against Republicans and their supporters, that doesn't demonstrate a neutral opinion. |
Not true. At all. Your delusional bias is clouding your judgement. |
So your claim is now a version of the Orwell quote? "The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which." I don't agree with your characterization of the Biden admin, but maybe this is something you don't want to go "both sides" on. How about no sides? |
They dismantle the tax division, the public integrity section, the human rights section, the civil rights division and this is the crap that they want to focus on (as well as anti-Christian bias). FFS, how about focusing on real criminals? |
“Donald Trump’s appointees at the Department of Justice have removed all of the senior civil servants working as managers in the department’s voting section and directed attorneys to dismiss all active cases, according to people familiar with the matter, part of a broader attack on the department’s civil rights division.
The moves come less than a month after Trump ally Harmeet Dhillon was confirmed to lead the civil rights division, created in 1957 and referred to as the “crown jewel” of the justice department. In an unusual move, Dhillon sent out new “mission statements” to the department’s sections that made it clear the civil rights division was shifting its focus from protecting the civil rights of marginalized people to supporting Trump’s priorities.” https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/apr/28/trump-doj-voting-rights |
