If you could actually read, you would know that the OOS yield from the actual university data is similar to other top public universities. |
Is the SCHEV data correct for W&M? Because it is different than what is on the W&M website too.
How do we know which is correct? |
Wait and see. My guess is there will be some RD admits for this group! But, glad everyone has 1 competitive option. |
Huh? Can you provide links? As a prospective parent, the honor code is one feature that really attracts me after 4 years of high school where cheating doesn't seem to be taken that seriously |
The source of the SCHEV admissions data is the universities themselves. So if the universities are saying, “hey SCHEV isn’t calculating this correctly” then the universities are probably right. Or it’s a giant conspiracy where the universities are all lying to make themselves look better to terminally online people. Take your pick. |
Anyways....back to the original topic!
DC in state admit..... -4.4w/3.98uw (highest rigor possible at private that doesn't allow APs until Junior yr) -1500 -leadership in several activities/clubs -club sport -lots of volunteering (presidents service award) -4 years of FL |
Nope, no connection to UVA |
Doesn't legacy not matter at UVA? |
Not URM either |
What is FL |
This year and last year I have known many JMU educated parents who are sending their kids to UVA. I also know several UVA educated parents whose kids were rejected from UVA.
I don’t know if this is just a fluke in my experience, but it seems UVA really is honoring the legacy ruling change from last year. |
Foreign Language - sorry. Lots of debate about whether 3 years or 4 years helps. I do think showing max rigor in as many core areas as possible (foreign language being a core area) is helpful based on the results of our friends and classmates. |
Agreed - I know several legacy kids that were denied. |
Outside of NoVA? Smaller town? |
Good. Mommy and daddy went to the college. The kid did not. |
