There is, but MSDE isn’t doing anything to enforce it

They are also supposed to "access student demographics and needs... evaluate staffing and schedule flexibility...consider instructional goals and equity"

That doesn’t mean they have to involve parents before they make a decision. It just means they need to explain it after.

Has anyone tried appealing to them?

Julie Yang seems to insinuate that they should all do Model 1. She pushes for reaching higher achieving students and data to back up the decisions.

She needs to articulate better English
I honestly can't understand her

Then you're not trying hard. She can be understood just fine.

The vast majority of schools are doing model 2. There is nothing to revert to.

Was this stated? Where's the data?
I believe it
Because a vast majority of the kids stupid so it makes sense. Not enough kids for model 1 unless you're in a good school.

My school is model 1. Equity scam says revert it to make every program bad and so no kid is pushed ahead

There are statutes that say parents can opt out of sex ed stuff too. But MCPS get cute in their social engineering experiments. See Mahmoud v Taylor.

You're racist. I do my best.
I have to put on subtitles. It's very hard to understand her. If I went in person, will they provide a translator for me? Her English skills are not good!

I don't need to try to understand anyone else on the board. She needs a translator

Differentiation is not the same thing as cohorting/tracking. Differentiation occurs within a heterogeneous cohort.

Tracking and cohorting are different. Tracking implies there's no way to get on a track once its set. Not true with cohorting. Why are you so against making sure gifted and high achieving kids get what they need to thirive?

Yes, they are different. Differentiation is imaginary and the others aren't.
