Trump's rambling speech today

His speech right now at Mar-a-lago is completely bonkers. We need the guy from Billy Madison who said "At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

Based on what I've seen, I don't think Biden is in decline, but at least we'd know who was actually in charge. With Trump, you never knew who was behind the scenes calling the shots, but you did know they were people who failed the criteria for security clearance.

Wow, gonna be a fascinating (yet boring) campaign for him. Just constant whining and rambling.

If he's president again, Bannon, Stephen Miller and people like General Flynn will be stabbing each other in the back to gain the real power. Trump just wants to gold and rage on Truth Social and X.

I've FINALLY started hearing mainstream folks talking about Trump's weakness in the primaries and what it might mean in the general.

There was a segment on NPR this morning about this - and the 538 podcast this week was (sort of) talking about it. I don't think anyone believes it means that Trump is a certain loser - there's disagreement about what it DOES mean (are these just Dems getting Haley to 40 percent, or is it something else?).

But I've felt like a crazy person looking at these mediocre primary results while hearing nothing but TRUMP IS DOMINATING in the news.

As always, he's gross.

I don’t care enough to go trawling through the relevant threads or searching online, but I think the Haley voters have been a mix of Republicans, Independents and Democrats trying to rein in the crazy of the GOP. Going off my same memory, the Republicans and Independents among them are the least committed to voting for a Republican in the general, and you can’t blame them (especially after they were literally encircled and booed; that’s some dark Nazi nonsense).

I’m glad Donald’s obvious impairments and electability issues are being discussed. To quote Resident Alien: “this is some bulls**t!” for it to keep going undiscussed.

I am PP and this is the Resident Alien/we're back on Earth II crossover thread I didn't even know I needed.

So his pitch to voters is talking about financial statements, but of course to read the disclaimer that says "don't rely on these financial statements". It's just so inspiring.

He didn't mean 'these' immigrants, he meant "those" immigrants

Rather than a sign language interpreter, I'd like to see these captioned (in ebonics) with an interpretive dancer.
