Strongly disagree. A Cap. Policemen DIED and others asked for back up repeatedly. A capitol policewoman testified it was a war zone that she was not qualified to deal with. The Flynn brother knew this and chose to do nothing. He was in dereliction of his duty, because he was BIASED: the worst explanation is that he wanted the coup to succeed. The best explanation is that he thought it wouldn’t and he did not wish to annoy the WH by harming the rioters, “Trump’s people”. I plump for the former.

This PP is right. The previous PP would have been right if the main priority had been to try limit the number of insurrectionists who would die that day. But for me I will always prioritize the Cap. The Marines station at the Marine Corps Barracks at 8th and I should have been called out and put under the Capitol police command. Flynn and his brother are with Trump and the GOP.

Marines weren't under Flynn2's command. DC National Guard also technically wasn't but practically were. The 3rd Infantry, Old Guard, is who should have defended America and the Constitution on that day. They were definitely under Flynn2's watch.

Why didn’t they call out the USMC Band and Drum & Bugle Corps?

This is why they should have been call out of the barracks. Capitol police could have deputized them. They could have been there in 10 minutes.

Why this committee would hold a hearing with a witness with 2nd hand information that has not been verified proves that this committee is purely political and not terribly credible.

What was Trump going to do if he went to the Capitol? Walk to the front door and demand to be let in, and then lead the Proud Boys, the Oath Keepers and the rest of those freaks to take it over?
