Scientifically Cheese. Cheese happens to be especially addictive because of an ingredient called casein, a protein found in all milk products. During digestion, casein releases opiates called casomorphins.

"[Casomorphins] really play with the dopamine receptors and trigger that addictive element,”

I like everything on your "guru" list although I can't remember the last time I had a cheeseburger. Years, at least. I eat maybe 1-2 regular burgers a year. Pizza and fries are delicious, but I can easily go months without them. Clearly I have a sweet tooth!

Same. I don’t eat meat, so can’t relate to the burgers, but my absolute #1 has to be Coke Zero. Terrible, I know, but I can’t make myself give it up.

I have a serious addition to roasted seaweed snacks. Like a 3 pack a day habit.

Granted that's <200 calories total, but it's becoming a problem.

Addicted like you crave it all the time or once you start you can't stop. Because different foods fit those categories for me. The biggest can't stop for me is ice cream that has big chunks of cookie dough or the like. I am always digging for one more chunk. Until I have eaten the whole damn pint! Potato chips are hard to stop too. Chocolate is what I crave most though.
