Oooh. That location is the absolute sweet spot in the already-small micro market of chevy-chase-close-to-metro and near Conn Ave, too. So green, lush, decently quiet and surrounded by big old homes with no shitty McPlastic Porch teardowns. and also? stone. They don't make them like that anymore.

I don't even care what the inside looks like. Didn't bother to click through.

yes, but they are asking $2.4M not exactly what the average buyer is looking for.

Sorry. Read incorrectly. NOT pending.

There is a really cute house on Farraday that will go on sale as soon as they find another one to buy. They wanted to give the buyer an option to buy contingent on them finding a house first. While I loved the house and neighborhood, I didn’t want to be off the market for that long and risk the possibility they don’t find anything.

1.2 ish. I would have bought it but found another to buy in all that time.

Can you please share the name of the listing agent?

I went to the open house. It's not my style, and the owners made some weird design choices, but it's a nice looking, high quality renovation. I bet they get full price for it.

Agree with the PP, that location can't be beat. The neighborhood is gorgeous and you can walk to metro, Wisc & CT. I'd take it, block glass and all

What do we think this will go for? It has to be over $2 million? There was a house on 38th that was listed for $ 2million and sold for $2.3 million (about 1 month ago). It was probably bigger than this one but this seems underpriced at $1.7 million.

This is a no-brainer -- just go a little bit farther out to 20816. We're in Bethesda, just a few blocks from DC. It's more of a neighborhood feel because there's less through traffic. Kids tend to go to the neighborhood elementary school, rather than private schools. There's slightly less crime.

Look in Maryland near the intersection of Massachusetts and Western Avenues. You get a little more house for the money, and a nicer experience. We have several neighbors who moved from Tenleytown to 20816, and they are glad that they did.

As someone who moved the opposite direction and is really happy they did, everyone is different.
