PP here. I don’t think it’s hand weights. The sorts of things I do are:

Deep weighted squats
Heavy kettlebell swings
Planks where I alternate lifting weights with each hand
Push ups - so many push ups
Hanging from a bar
Core work
Dead lifts
Ring rows

I rarely lift a weight less than 45 pounds.

Weight bearing exercises are those you do on your feet that work your bones and muscles against gravity such as walking, jogging, tennis, hiking, dancing, etc.

OP here--wow! That is super exciting news, PP...gives me hope!

Although if I read right (I'll go back and doublecheck) you were experiencing bone loss when you are at 18K steps a day? That is a LOT of steps--I've upped mine to 15K and there are days I'm not quite there (at 14K+ but not over the top)

Okay I'll go re-read and see what you are doing and maybe I can replicate it.

Can I ask if you are male or female, and your age?
