Top 15 List: Schools that have produced the most Rhodes Scholars

Anonymous
This is an honest question but I really know nothing about Rhodes Scholars. What does it take to apply and be accepted?

Also, is there somewhere that shows a more modern tally of winners per college? This list goes all the way back to 1904.

Rhodes has no accession program for credit-by-examination and Bachelors in Life Experience degrees.

That University of Washington really jumps out, doesn't it? I wonder why. Maybe they really encourage it? I never thought of Rhodes as something I could do, but then later went to grad school with several Rhodes scholars and regretted not even applying because I think I would have stood a chance.

Go Huskies!!

Good lord. TJ didn't produce any Rhodes scholars... their undergrad institution did.

If many of the top kids from the area go to TJ do you find this remarkable? Insecure TJ parents basking in the glory of the achievements of others....

You really don’t find it remarkable that one HS in existence for 35 years produced more Rhodes Scholars than some large state schools did in 100+.? Really? Statistics say TJ had something to do with it. Even great HSs can go decades without an alum becoming a Rhodes Scholar.
