You did lose some credibility by ignoring that we have had riots and that there are ongoing violent protests (even if small) in certain cities.... not to mention the bloody gunfires in Chicago and other places. |
Yay for government!! Very helpful! Many states are now doing this. DD’s university did something similar in the Spring - daily checks in person, bringing food, alternate quarantine residences if necessary, etc. |

The tracers are bound by HIPAA regulations |
DC health is putting together the teams this week for home visits |
Never. |
I would think it's better to do as much contact tracing via phone as possible? In other words, only show up at someone's house if you can reach them by phone. |
Whats the point of that when people who are probably going to test positive are traveling, eating out and socializing ad we aren't going to government quarantine. No, I wouldn't let them in my house. I am not letting anyone in my house right now nor socializing nor would I talk to anyone about my health I didn't know. |
That doesn't sound safe. The tracers can be carriers if they are going home to home. |
Exactly. It's not like they're census takers where they're going into a random selection of homes. They're meeting up with people who either have or are likely to have Corona. It is an incredibly stupid idea. |
These are trained health care workers who will be making home visits, wearing PPE, to people who are high risk patients, to see if they are able to safely isolate. They are not going to be pushing in unwanted and uninvited.
Household spread is a HUGE problem especially in multigenerational households. I'm sure if they could be effective via a phone call that would be their preferred choice. But it might take a personal visit and an offer of a free hotel stay to be able to get some younger people out of the apartment so they don't infect the older generations. |
That's not a citing something specific that shows contact tracers will be entering homes. |
I see you. And am with you. ![]() |
This is impressive. Of course most of the tracing should be done by phone, but a lot of vulnerable residents can’t be easily reached. I’m happy that DC is taking care of its people. |
Hell no! That is idiotic |
