Jessica and Justin have another baby!

I actually think that no one really cared about his cheating thing because he’s really not as big a star as he used to be (evidenced by his dismal sales with “Man of the Woods”). And I think the baby is to 1) get attention 2) patch the marriage up.

May be true. But also think Jessica is hedging her bets. Her kid gets a sibling and if she wanted a second, she doesn’t have to do it in a hurry with someone else. Only one baby daddy if they get divorced.

So, like the Denise Richards approach?

Oh hell. It was staged.

Maybe.

It’s a big gap for a couple pushing 40.

Not everyone wants to have 3 kids in 3.5 years. I did not.

Correct. I did it in 2.5 years and turned out great. Brothers who are best friends with lots of friends in common. One grade between them in school. Now 12 and 14.5. With quarantine it’s great they go out and shoot hoops, play soccer and have a lot of other interests.

Too big a spread (these 2 wont even be in HS together) is not for many, unless fertility or $ issues.

My DH has never been friends with his brother, I don't think they ever call each other to say hi. My cousins’ boys are 4.5 years apart and ate the best of friends. The age gap has little to do with the relationships, the personality is what important.

Then we are very lucky. Everyone comments how close my boys are—when they were little they always sat in the same recliner at my parents’ house. My sister has three boys and they fought some growing up but are very close and genuinely really like each other.

Some is just personality which you have no control over, but some is the relationship you set from when the 2nd child comes along. I read A LOT about sibling rivalry and how to avoid it when I was pregnant with my second. A lot of the strategies really worked. I also think the dynamics and their personalities played a role though. I got lucky.

This convo is getting thread off track, but yes, age spread will not determine closeness of adult sibling friendship lol. DH is 2 yrs older sister, who joined cultish evangelical church; I am 2 yrs old to my sister, who I am totally estranged from due to her history of stealing and lying.

Worry more about raising good people who don’t grow up to turn to these outlets.

Other way around, he'll move on. He's obviously bored.

And what do men do when their ego is dinged by a sagging career and nearly 40-yo wife? Cheat. He'll be cheating with a 20-something soon. Watch.

That seemed staged.

.seemed? It was to a perfect beat!

And fake dramatic pause at the end. God, I just rewatched the last minute of the performance and am more struck by what a schlub he was dressed like. Khaki pants, green shirt. random jacket. And she is wearing her usual corset/red/black semi militaristic MJ style outfit. What a mismatch.

I think that handholding thing was just whatever... you get followed by paps everywhere and they catch.... handholding?? Lame.

No way. He cheated on every girlfriend he’s every had. He even acknowledged himself that he was seeing someone else when his “entanglement” with Jessica began. He’s kind of past the benefit of the doubt.

I seem to remember a story about Cameron Diaz flipping out about it at the time.

I saw that. So happy for both of them and for little Silas to have a playmate.
