Maybe.
It’s a big gap for a couple pushing 40.
Not everyone wants to have 3 kids in 3.5 years. I did not.
Correct. I did it in 2.5 years and turned out great. Brothers who are best friends with lots of friends in common. One grade between them in school. Now 12 and 14.5. With quarantine it’s great they go out and shoot hoops, play soccer and have a lot of other interests.
Too big a spread (these 2 wont even be in HS together) is not for many, unless fertility or $ issues.
This convo is getting thread off track, but yes, age spread will not determine closeness of adult sibling friendship lol. DH is 2 yrs older sister, who joined cultish evangelical church; I am 2 yrs old to my sister, who I am totally estranged from due to her history of stealing and lying.
Worry more about raising good people who don’t grow up to turn to these outlets.
My DH has never been friends with his brother, I don't think they ever call each other to say hi. My cousins’ boys are 4.5 years apart and ate the best of friends. The age gap has little to do with the relationships, the personality is what important.
