I had a wonderful HS sweetheart that I later broke up with in Uni when I met now-DH. The ex was WONDERFUL and a great guy with a nice family so I think of him fondly. It's like we grew up together- dating from 15 YO to 22. Dream about him/that age/when my parents were both alive/that childhood home sometimes and it's a nice feeling. I do wish him well.

My HS crush looks good but is an academic who never got a permanent job, now almost 50, a couple years older.

My MS into early HS crush is 47 and could pass for 62. It’s shocking.

You sound like you have nice memories. I wonder if it’s still painful for him though. Do you think so?
