Significant tax increases to address the issue will be required in the future. It's that or else giant spending programs like social security and medicare will require cuts. All of those options are politically unpalatable. They are coming though.

Oh NOW you clowns are back t being concerned about the debt? Give it a rest.

Trump is the self-proclaimed 'King of Debt'.

It exploded the most under Obama. It isn't even debatable.

Trump has that honor now and may the only president to increase the deficit in economic boom times. The deficit this year is already on track to be close to $4 trillion.

Wait...I thought that, according to the Dems, that the economy was not that great under Trump?

They didn’t actually believe that.

I hate these income limits! What justification do they have to penalize individuals making over $75,000 and families making over $150,000 during a pandemic?

The first round - okay.

The second round - NOT OKAY.

Raise the income limits to $175K for individuals and $300K for families. Its not fair that someone in NYC can't pay their rent, which people in Kansas are getting $5,000 payments with rents of $500/mo.

stimulus direct to mismanaged states with overpromised, underfunded public union pensions and HC benefits?

step right up taxpayers. Not Gonna Happen. Not before and not now.

Pelosi over stepped with that one. Some states are have been really F'd up for awhile now.

What's next, give Puerto Rico $1TR for COVID (i.e. driving their country into the ground with 45% of pop working for gov't doing nothing yet giving themselves paychecks funded by Muni bonds?)

I'm a liberal, but I wonder about the focus on immigration. I think we need more paths towards legalization for those that are here, but we need free ourselves from relying on cheap and exploitative labor practices. Encouraging more low skilled immigration is not ideal.

I myself would move overseas. I won't stick around for the lowest common denominator. Millions with skills will. Intergenerational welfare stays behind whilst the place crumbles.

Bye bye, Rome.

triple citizenship family here, we'll be out of here.

I think so. Go big or go ... We're already at home.

Powell told us what the economy needs. Do you know better than him?

he's now a political tool and puppet.

Anyone know what % of the $1.6 trillion outstanding student debt is:

2-year and 4-year college
vs
grad/professional/master's degrees?

+1 I don't need an election year pissing contest when we have a real actual crisis to manage. They all need to show up, do their damn job and figure it out. Not impressed with either party. No stars.
