| If this is a chronic issue and you’re experiencing long delays where parents wait in the car is an only take the kids out when the bus has arrived then I suggest you find out what School the bus goes to and email the principal and copy the department of transportation for the school. These parents are not just delaying you but are delaying the entire route. |

The bus stop is literally at the end of our neighbor’s driveway. Still the neighbor waits for the bus while her teen is still inside. She holds the bus while screaming, “Jaaaaaccccckkkk” multiple times per week.
It’s really a whole show. Drivers are pretty patient considering. |
The bus should just go - then these people might actually realize they need to be on time. |
+1 |
| I always make sure to see if there is a disabled child. Any child with a disability can take as long as needed and more as far as i am concerned. I also understand the first week some kids may be anxious. What is frustrating is when the kid is totally happy to leave and mom needs a hug or something. Cut the cord. |
I would totally leave a note in their mailbox. |
Wait what? The bus was half a block up on the left like across the street? Like, past the intersection you were turning right on? Why did they doxx you? |

The Special ed buses in MCPS picks up student at their front door. It may take more than five minutes for a kid to come out while the bus us waiting. There was a house on my way to work had a bus waiting for the kid at 8:30 am and there were cars back up both directions. Eventually, the bus driver turned on yellow light while he was waiting and only turned on the red light when the kid step out of the front door.
Every thoughful bus driver! |
| Busses should not wait for kids who aren't in line of sight. |
Why? What's wrong with kissing? |
Kiss when bus is not there |
You failed to grasp the humor. Buses = vehicles. Busses = kisses. Look it up. |
Sloppy timing parents late to the bus stop PLUS the angry drivers - all equals ENTITLEMENT |
| I want to know why a bus has to stop every 20 feet on some of these streets. If kids within a mile of school have to walk to school, can’t these bus kids walk two or more blocks to a common stop? The route would take half as long if the bus stops aren’t within eye sight of each other!! |
NP. I understood it. I agree people should learn how to spell "buses," and that their kids should be ready to go, get on the bus, and then everyone leaves. Otherwise I just lay on the horn until the mom (it's always a mom) stops yammering to the driver. |
