What I don't understand is why she didn't create a more savvy campaign to fund her trip, even if it was launched as she was traveling? It would have gotten a far better response than this.

I am not someone who has been invested in her story, and as such my opinion means little...But I think she could have easily raised 10k if not nore with very little effort for her trip. Instead, she will raise nothing and no one even believes in her anymore as a credible human being.

This is what I'm thinking too. Maybe both.
As awful as the Italian police were, her current behavior leads me to think that maybe the Italian police did have some reason to think she was a lying or unstable nutcase. Maybe the mental health issue was always bigger than we all knew. That said, she would also have every reason to be completely traumatized by what happened. Either way, I hope someone gets her the major mental health care she needs, regardless of reason.

She may not realize she's super lucky to have ever gotten out of that Italian prison alive. I'm glad she did, but she needs to go away quietly into the sunset and pay for her own wedding or not get married if she can't afford it.

It doesn't make any kind of sense. 5 kilos of gold on your neck but only rich in love? And the pendant of your love! Barf. Very deep if you are 16.

I have always thought Amanda had a few screws loose.

I am on the fence whether or not she killed Meredith Kercher.
About 70% guilty/30% innocent.

But this dumb money grab may change that.

She is 100% not guilty. Read the Italian appeals court's ultimate decision finding her, essentially, not guilty as a matter of law. It is a totally f*ed up read about how f*ed up the Italian legal system is.

This poem is cute and clever, yet still sweet - which is actually not a small achievement when it comes to writing amateur poetry.

Exactly. The fact that she’s offbeat and spacey is exactly what everyone was using against her to prove she did it, because she didn’t act in a way they thought she should. She’s an eccentric person, and not everyone gets it. Which is fine. I am happy she’s doing well and may even contribute.
