Anyone grow up in a family that was an open marriage? Or swinger situation?

Telling people the details of your sex has nothing to do with whether or not you are ashamed. You don’t tell people because that’s called oversharing and it’s creepy.

I’ve had friends who overshared about their sex lives, pooping, periods, masturbating, etc. None of which they should be ashamed of, but I don’t need to know that you had diarrhea, or that you and your husband had “adult time”, or that you swing.

I can’t use my imagination with this thread - I have sooo many questions.
I don’t know anyone in real life that does this so I just have to get real details in order for any of this to make sense.

I know a family that has an open marriage of sorts. Parents Mom1 and Dad1 married in grad school and had 2 kids young. They decided to have an open marriage and Mom1 is dating Dad2. Mom1 and Dad2 have a 3rd child together. Original couple divorces and Mom1 and Dad2 marry. All while Dad1 and Girlfriend live in the same house. Eventually they move to a side by side duplex and all 4 adults take equal share raising the kids. 1 mom does all the cooking. Parents rotate drop off, pick up and extracurriculars. All 3 kids go on vacation together with each couple each summer. Everyone gets along.

I am often jealous of their set up because with 4 adults to manage the kids, two of whom have flexible schedules, all the adults get time for hobbies, exercise and date nights. The kids are 15-5 and all seem really happy and well adjusted.
