My 16 yr old still sleeps with her stuffed panda. And last week when I wanted to wash him I totally told her, "It's time for Panda to have an evening at the spa." I took my baby blanket with me to college. I used it as a pillow sometimes and used it as a second blanket in the winter when it was cold. I am a successful, normal person. |
38 years old and sleep with my four stuffed animals from childhood. I travel without them and sleep perfectly well, but it's nice to have them. However, my 15 month old has tried to co-opt some of them, so I've had to draw the line and explain that she has her own stuffed animals while mine are "Mama's friends" whom she can borrow, but not have. Haha... |
DS has inherited two of my stuffed animals. |
When to stop sleeping with stuffed animals? When the stuffed animals no longer want to sleep with you. |
OP here. This is the greatest answer ever! Thanks to all who replied. |
Early 40s, and I still have three on the bed. They are technically my daughter’s, and they are effectively a part of the family. Unthinkable to remove them. |
When there are two humans in the bed? ![]() |
My youngest is 13 and he has operated on the "all things fuzzy belong to me" principle for years and has acquired all stuffed animals in the house from everyone else. Still collects them every time we travel and for gifts. Easily has over a hundred, and there is a rotating selection that sleep in bed with him. The rest are arrayed all around his room. I'm pretty sure the answer to your question for him will be - NEVER! |
My well adjusted active daughter is nearly 14 and still does. So do her friends. Leave it alone. |
I had one special one from 11 until age 28. I missed it when I got rid of it. Sooo.. yeah. |
Never. I even have one from 17 years ago, from my first date with DH. What's the problem? My 18 year old nephew has a couple in his bedroom. |
I think the sentiment here is so sweet. |
Tracker went along to the college dorm. |
I took my favorite stuffed animal to college. I wasn’t the only one. My kids don’t really sleep with stuffed animals. I’m not sure why it matters either way. |
