What do you do with your sweaty workout clothes afterwards?

Laundry basket devoted to workout clothes. I do a load of workout clothes about once a week, using tide for workout clothes.

Don't they get all mildewed doing that?

Negative. theu stay in the bag for about two days before getting laundered,

Somehow I doubt that. Or your sense of smell is way off.

Doubt all you want.

I assure you, your clothed are rank and you are "that person."

Doubt it. Come smell me someday.

I hang them on a drying rack and then at the end of the day when dry they go into the dirty workout clothes basket.

It's gross that people don't let their clothes dry out before crumpling them up in piles.

I have a tension shower curtain rod over the bathtub in our second bathroom, in addition to the one that has the curtain. The kids take baths, and I take it down if we have overnight guests. The shower curtain hides it when closed. I use it for workout clothes, and that's also where I hang snowsuits, wet swimsuits, and wet raincoats until they're dry. Once the workout clothes are dry I toss them in the hamper.

What are these "workout clothes" you all talk about? I workout naked in my ho e gym, then shower after. No need to worry about mildew or laundering.

We have a small basket right by the bathroom door that we put them in, and those are considered "priority" and are added to a load of laundry asap. DH puts his shirt, which is extra funky into the laundry room sink. We used to do the thing where we hung them over the edge of the tub to dry, but when we remodeled I made a rule against that and got the basket because seeing all those clothes sitting around really bummed me out.

Hang them on the garage railing to dry and hang out until there is enough to do a load of our workout clothes. Usually throw some borax into those loads to help with the smell, also soak them occasionally (every couple of washes).

I put them in a bag (nylon) which I put in my gym bag (nylon) which I put in my car, where it stays until I drive home (I work out before work and go straight to work). When I drive home I dump them onto the basement floor or into the hamper.

It isn't ideal.

I have an over the door rack/hooks on my ensuite door. I hang them there along with bras & my housecoat. I wear gym clothes twice before washing.

after hot yoga and running, we hang them wherever we can (over doors, over dirty laundry basket, over shower) to dry, then put them in the dirty laundry once dry. can't you leave them on the floor while you bathe and hang on tub after?

Then I put them in a hamper once dry.

Then I do laundry when there's sufficient quantity to do a load.

I couldn't imagine regularly washing one workout outfit at a time, and not a full load - that seems profoundly wasteful.

Wait how much are you people sweating? I have never thought to put my work out clothes in anything other than the dirty hamper with my other clothes. Only in the dead of summer are my clothes dripping wet. Otherwise they just have a little moisture. I exclusively run outside (8:30 minute miles so not just a slow jog).
