Yucky healthy food

I eat healthily, and I hate bananas. There are so many other healthy foods for you to consider. Why would you force yourself to eat something you don't like?

Today after my run I ate a sweet potato with homemade vinaigrette and sea salt on top. It was amazing.

I also like air-popped popcorn with olive oil and salt, or some salmon. An apple with a little peanut butter is also a good post-workout snack.

Because bananas make my muscles feel better. My legs were dying this week after doing so many squats.

Try a glass of tart cherry juice post workout (google it) and some lean protein, like turkey or salmon. This will be more efficient than a banana, and is more satisfying.

I run a lot, including some longer races. Trust me.

Kale, quinoa and spinach are yucky healthy foods.

Quinoa is disgusting. Anybody who says otherwise is very successfully lying to themselves

I just ate some quinoa with raisins, kale and nuts from Roots.

totally yummy!

Quinoa is so bland, it's hard to imagine how you can have such a strong reaction to it. We use it in place of rice for many meals.

I don't think my 1.5 y.o. and 4 y.o. are "lying to themselves" when they shovel it into their mouths since I'm doubtful they care about eating "healthy".

I love roasted beets. I just hate roasting them!

I eat everything listed. I do. I need variety in food. But if I have to choose, I will avoid pork&beans-can't stand it.

put it in a blender with milk (or milk substitute) cocoa powder and ice. I do this with frozen bananas, and add chocolate protein powder for a quick breakfast. I dont like bananas on their own, however.

Chia seeds.. do not get why people like them.

I don't mind bananas if they are still a tiny bit green. They have about a 2 day window for me and then they're too ripe.

I don't like mushrooms or quinoa very much.

Buy medjool dates and freeze them. Much better frozen

I hate coconut water. Someone offered it to my kid, and she said it tasted like sweat. I was like, that's exactly it. Nasty.

Beets are also disgusting.

Overripe bananas are nasty, but just barely still slightly green bananas are awesome.

I like almost all of the healthy foods listed! Except Stevia - fake sugar is gross. I hate fatty cuts of meat, parsnips, and most preparations of squash. I grew up eating most of these foods, though - my childhood diet featured a lot of kale, brown rice, tofu, yogurt, and generally a lot of organic vegetables and whole grains. All of these "modern" food trends made it to (or originated in) the Bay Area several decades ago.
