Federal Plans and IUI

If you have Aetna you might be eligible for the SGF contract rate discount, which would cut the price in half or so.

Does anyone know if it matters if my husband are on the same plan? If I am on CareFirst or Aetna and he has Kaiser will this cause an issue for IUI? Thanks!

I don't think my husband's insurance ever came into play with my IUI - everything was billed through mine. I don't think he ever even provided his card to the practice (GW).

Kaiser last year covers 50%. You will have to check the plans for next year during open enrollment for any new changes

Kaiser would then be your secondary plan insurance as Aetna/Blue X will be your primary..and they(Kaiser) most likely will require prior auth to cover services. so check with member services directly regarding plan coverage and benefits
