I also have a child with ASD. So, you can have a seat. |
No, not really. You should stop judging another parent for making difficult decisions regarding medication. Perhaps her child has not slept in years. Why would it be a bad idea to explore medical options? Good lord. |
DP. We're all allowed to worry for other children. Nothing on this thread seems to imply that medical marijuana for sleep is the right step, or, if the wrong step, harmless. |
So are you people telling me that marijuana is now prescribed for ADHD? I have never heard of that before. How exactly does it help ADHD? |
What are you talking about? It’s commonly prescribed for insomnia. |
To 10 year olds? I didn't know that. (I didn't know it was commonly prescribed to anyone outside of pain relief.) |
What doctor is going to prescribe it for a 10 year old who is already heavily medicated, with no current sleep issues? |
dear research scientist. what about coffee. serious question. |
I love weed and I have ADHD but it makes me spacey as hell...like I cannot complete a task that has several steps because I will forget what I’m doing. |
Mother of child with sad/adhd-c and I would personally love some weed to help my anxiety. And I think many posters here could benefit as well. Jesus, can we ever just have a discussion here?!? |
This, exactly. CBD oil calms racing thoughts/anxiety and therefore helps my ADHD issues. But I have to be careful with dosage. Too much and I space out. |
Cannabis is not harmful and not addictive if it is a medical marijuana , not recreational. Medical cannabis can boast with beneficial cannabinoids which can successfully cure inflammations, stress and even anxiety. Some scientists confirm cannabinol can even treat cancer (but I think this fact needs deeper investigation). |
I can’t smoke pit because I’m one of those people who get anxious fromit. I tried it twice in college and learned the hard way. |
Yes, it is addictive and most medical is just a cover up for people to get it easily/cheaply. You'd have to be crazy to give it to a kid as it could ruin their future lives if they ever have a job that requires drug testing or something like a clearance where they ask and care about drug use. |
You are completely ignorant about medical marijuana. It is not easy to get, you need to be certified by a doctor who has made sure that you have tried several other approaches. Most of the people who want it are elderly people who have been in pain for years or others in chronic pain. The level of THC, if any, is administered carefully so as not to cause any kind of high. Why don't you spend some actual time in a clinic before spouting off nonsense, you have no idea what you are talking about. Kids who want to spoke marijuana aren't filling out the paperwork required for certification, going to see the doctor and paying the money for medical marijuana, it doesn't even have enough THC to get them high and it's much more expensive than street weed. Try again. |
