Bzzzt. Right wing myth alert. According to the National Archives, the popular vote was as follows:

Kennedy: 34,226,731
Nixon: 34,108,157

According to my math -- learned in public school I admit -- Kennedy won the popular vote.

In fact, Nixon boo hooed a great deal. According to Wikipedia, "Nixon encouraged Republican National Chairman Thruston Morton to push for a recount, which Morton did in 11 states, keeping challenges in the courts into the summer of 1961".

As you remember Gore couldn't even get one recount because the Supreme Court wouldn't allow it. Nixon got 11 recounts and Repubs are still crying about the election.

You asked the question "Why do you hate Bush?" We all gave our honest answers. Now, you are complaining that we haven't offered enough "substantive proof" that he has ruined the economy/ To me, this is a typical Republican/Bush tactic: ask a question and when faced with an outpouring of honest responses, change the question or forget you ever asked the question in the first place.

The perfect example, of course being: Bush's asking this country to go to war because there were "weapons of mass destruction in Iraq."

Because he started a war that WAS NOT necessary!! We were not attacked on 9/11 by Iraq!! In fact, Saddam Hussein HATED Bin Laden and wanted nothing to do with him - thinking he was an Islamic radical (which he is). Thousands of our own troops, and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis (which the press won't cover) have been killed or wounded, and billons of our tax dollars have gone unaccounted for. Halliburton is now headquarted in Saudi Arabia so they can escape financial scrutiny here in the US. Plus Bush is an idiot - who says "that's awesome, dude" following the State of the Union address??? ACKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!

I love Bush and think Laura should run. Why the hell not, if Hillary can do it, Laura could too. Mom for another Bush in the house.

A main difference of course being that Hillary has a law background, has held elected office, and actually has public policy positions, while Laura Bush is a children's librarian. That is not to disparage librarians, but there is a very major difference in their professional backgrounds. That is why the hell not.

change is good. Hillary would not get my vote for all the tea in China. Can't stand her. Can't even stand to look at her, although she looks a heck of a lot better than she did in the beginning of the Clinton day's. Yuck yuck yuck for Hillary.
