If you liked the Cosby show during its original run, do you still like it?

How is it that the internet that arrives in your home is not equipped with google or some other search engine?

The Gordon Gartrelle shirt! That was the best!

Lol. R. Kelly is a musician and producer out of the Chicago area. He was rumored to have been married to Aaliyah (another singer who died in a plane crash about ten years ago) when she was a teen and he was a grown man in this twenties or thirties.

Didn't like it then and I like it now. I feel like when I was a kid -- I didn't really "get" a lot of the messages and the jokes were no different than other sitcoms. I esp like the episodes where Theo is thinking about grad school/job in Ca; Elvin and Sandra come back from their honeymoon and announce they won't go to med and law school and the fallout from that; Vanessa getting engaged to the handyman and then the way she backed out on a good guy bc she wasn't ready etc. I thought the parents had a lot of wisdom in dealing with these real situations -- you don't see that in sitcoms anymore as they aren't as relatable to real life.

Whaaa? Keeping up with the Kardashians isn't relatable to real life?

I will admit that I had no idea about the abuse allegations. Gross. Especially drugging women - ugh.

I guess it didn't rise to R.Kelly or Woody Allen status because the women weren't underage or within his family (yes, yes, I know woody and mia were never married, but...yuck)

I'm surprised people hadn't heard about R.Kelly, but maybe you had to have been into MTV in the 90s to really know or care who he was. It was still pretty scandalous, though.

Loved it and still love it. I can separate Bill Cosby as a person from his wonderful show.

Love that show always and forever! I "got" a lot of the messages and found the jokes funny though.

+1. There are a lot of lessons in that show for parents/adults - more than kids, which is probably why I thought it was boring when I was a kid and I didn't understand a lot of the sarcasm. I also liked the episodes where they dealt with Vanessa sneaking off to Baltimore (?) for a concert; Sandra & Elvin's first apartment - and their initial struggle after marriage; the one where Theo graduated; and I vaguely remember an episode that I still quote where Vanessa was distraught about being called "rich girl" at school bc she was bragging about some art that her parents bought. The dad pointed out - your mother and I are rich, you have nothing. Not a bad way to raise kids so that they aren't totally spoiled by parents' wealth which comes from the parents' hard work.

The Brady Bunch was a stupid show in the 70's . Why should your daughter possibly be interested in watching it 40 years later? You are just nostalgic for your own childhood. Let your daughter watch her own contemporary stupid shows.

My kids love it. Also Gilligan's Island. They watch their fair share of their own contemporary stupid junk too.

I love the Cosby Show. I still watched the reruns. I really like the episode when Theo told his father that he just wanted to be a regular guy and not attend college. http://youtu.be/mvr-IE-XivU This was a great valuable lesson without loosing your cool as a parent.

I love the various episodes when they sang songs and had dinner for their grandparent's anniversary ever year. http://youtu.be/qBsuwtm8180

Loved it as a kid and love it now as an adult. The aspects of the show that are dated do not affect its appeal. It's timeless IMO.

R. Kelly DID marry her and a whole lot worse.
