If you've finished watching House of Cards Season 2 (spoiler alert)

Just finished the season and the best episode for me was the double gay sex one. FU seducing SS man. OMG. Love it. I don't even care if it was a handoff or a 3 some. Equally awsome.

Ok, so I'm slow to the party, but I just finished Season 2 last night. My thoughts: I really believe it was a threesome, not a handoff. The porn Frank had watched (that Edward witnessed) was two men and one woman. I think that put the idea into SS man's head that Frank would be into that. Also, the night Frank and Claire were cuddling in bed, looking at old election footage, he asked her something like, "Do you ever miss it...?" and also said, "There's no one we can trust." I took that conversation to be definite foreshadowing that the two of them used to have a mighty kinky sex life, involving others, but had to stop as he became a more public figure. And finally, the morning after when they were in the kitchen, Claire said, "We needed that." BAM!

As for Doug, I found him to be a real downer and I wasn't sad to see him go, but I do wonder who Frank will have to do his bidding behind the scenes now... Seth? I'm hoping Rachel finds Lisa, tells her the whole story, and stays with her so no one will find her. I want her to have a "real" life, finally.

will this only run for three seasons like the UK version did?

Agree about Zoe's death being most shocking but I think that's because by the time the other developments happen you have suspended all disbelief. All the other things were basically eye-rolls.

I thought the bag-on-head was going to set up some bringing him down later, but it really was just gratuitous wasn't it?

I agree with the bolded. I, too, thought the bag-on-head would set up something for letter, but no. Same with the threesome. It added nothing to the plot or character development, really.

Agree about the bag on head, but I think the threesome/handoff was important. it really confirmed the nature of their marriage that was hinted at when Frank went back to his old school. It is completely a marriage of ambition. And Claire is starting to crack from the loneliness.

Also agree about the bag on the head scene. Really? Was that necessary?

I think Claire is going to end up in a situation to out-maneuver Frank. I think Frank goes down and Claire ends up victorious.

Oh my god, that would be an awesome twist!

not really....this is the problem with the west remakes foreign media.

its why zoe's or stamper's death didn't shock anyone who watched the UK original.

unless they change things, frank's story regarding russo/zoe/etc will be on the brink of coming out.

Claire finds out and gets meecham to assassinate frank so it looks like he dies a 'hero' and she's 'saved' from humiliation/prosecution.

I really hope that this is not what happens.

For me, the most shocking scene was probably Zoe's death.

ditto.

I think it's possible Doug isn't dead but just barely clinging to life. And is found by someone and rushed off to the hospital. Traumatic Brain Injury ensues and Frank gets Remy to track down Rachel. He then offs her. Crisis averted.

I will be very impressed if the writers keep him alive.

it will mean they aren't aping the plot of the original uk version.

I doubt it though

PP, in the porn scene, were the two guys doing it and the woman watching? Or was the guy watching the man and woman?

Also, the next morning, I thought she said to him, "You needed that," not "We needed that,"--anyone know?

The porn scene was two guys one girl -- she was, ahem, servicing both guys. Yes, I paused it to be sure.

Thanks for those who took the porn seen so seriously. I was curious but not enough to do the work. I also agree that Claire said "YOU" needed that. Meaning Frank. SO, what did Frank get? since this is not the explicit forum, I will refrain from typing what's in my head.

ops, pp here. so what i meant to say is that although I think it was a 3some, I think it was for Franks benefit and to indulge in his homoerotic tendencies.

Frank did not open the letter handed to him by Garret (former president). He burnt it assuming that Garret was returning FU's sworn confession. Perhaps, Garret actually kept the confession as insurance?
Anonymous
But then Garrett would have had to produce a similar envelope with similar type on it as a decoy. And anyway, Garrett is gone.
