+1
Don't forget successful. That's the other thing people seem to glom onto in addition to their "skinnyness".
She's amazingly successful and a fantastic writer. And she acts! It's a rare talent, I think.

I highly recommend her book. Read it twice and it was still so funny.

Anonymous wrote:Absolutely love the show. I live for Morgan and his crush on the sassy black nurse (can't remember her name) is so cute.

The episode was great. I *love* the tension between her and Danny. His dance was so cute. Love him and while I can't wait for them to get together, I'm enjoying watching it being drawn out.

Me too, all of the above, except I don't want mindy and Danny to get together. It will ruin the dynamic of the show if they get together. Besides, I love Cliff.

We love that show! Mindy and the Morgan character are both hilarious.

You know he's one of the writers too? He was on the Nerdist Podcast a few weeks ago, totally worth a listen.

Who - Morgan?? He's the best.

Mindy's hilarious. Regarding PP talking about how she throws hissy fits, like throwing the Christmas tree out…………….I loved that! - I would totally want to do that if I was going to try to be all generous (even though I said eff it to the $250 big tree and got the "little sickly tree" instead) and had to have the tree strapped to my back and got all kind of abuse on the way back to the office. So funny and so not-pc, just suck it up and try to be all ladylike about it. Love it. She's completely self centered, confident yet self conscious and, adorable. I remember one episode where she was buying shoes and the salesman said something like "wow, you've got the widest feet I've ever seen on a man or woman" and she just smiled brightly and said "Thank you!! I have incredible balance!". Perfection.

Most of them have been starved into a competitive position where it is more about their emaciated bodies than their acting abilities. It is difficult to watch them. Before I am declared a fatty, I am a normal size 6.

6 is the new 10. (I, too, am a 6)

Well, you're both below average. Average size of most women is 14 in this country.

Mindy isn't a 6. She's probably a 10 or a 12.

Stunningly dull and ugly.

Mindy's book is hilarious! She talks about a lot of her struggle with weight and beauty standards, her childhood, dating, and is an all around great page-turner. It reminds me of Tina Fey's book 'Bossypants' - similar style that will leave you totally laughing out loud.

Never seen the show. Something about the commercials just smacks at trying too hard. It's hard for women to be funny... I think it's because subconsciously you are aware that they spent too much time on hair and makeup to not care what people think about them. The mix seems unnatural .
