A terrible gardening summer for anyone else??

Even our mint, which is a friggin weed and usually thrives is doing poorly. I'm not going to have enough for mojitos all summer.

Rosemary is growing like crazy but turning very brown.

The corn seed my daughter planted did produce an ear of corn ready to be picked. I only learned from this experience that her one stalk will only produce one ear. Guess the other 4 of us will buy corn from the store.

Oh and critters like bunnies, squirrels, etc aren't getting to our vegetables. We plant marigolds around them to keep those guys away. It just seems to be other issues.

Hey, me too!

But actually I think that every gardening year is odd. 15 years of serious gardening, and I've never once had a normal year.

Our rosemary bush turned yellow and is dying.

Lilies, hydrangeas, knock out roses - doing great, although lots of spray for the roses. Basil and other herbs running wild. Tomatoes are meh.

I only did herbs this year. My rosemary, thyme, and basil are doing great. Mint was doing well for a while but it's starting to look pretty sad and my parsley is pretty yellow from too much rain.

The grass looks great though.
