| No surgery, IMO. She barely eats and has good genes. |
| She naturally has a great body and she bounced back from not one but two pregnancies. Life's not fair. So what? Let's all get over it! |
| I didn't look like JA before baby and I don't after. No surprise there. I'd be happy to just have *my* pre-baby figure back at some point, but I'm not counting on it. Eating 1200 calories a day and working out constantly would make me a raving b*tch so she is welcome to her lifestyle and I'll stick with eating until I'm full and moderate exercise. |
| After my belly button popped out during pregnancy, it never went back in... is that just me? I'm pretty thin. Celebrities who have had babies always seem to still have innies. I thought maybe that was a sign of a tummy tuck. |
I just had my second and my belly button is back in (but my stomach is not back to pre-pregnancy shape). I have no doubt many celebs have tummy tucks and other surgeries but I don't think Jessica is one of them. She is pretty young, this is only her second, and she clearly has good genes, just looking at her face and skin and her body before baby. I also think that though she looks good, it is totally believable that she can get that body working out a few times a week and eating healthy. She doesn't look insane like Demi Moore did at her Charlie's Angel's peak or anything (totally buff and in her 40s after three kids - that seemed like plastic surgery to me). |
Mine never popped out. |
No. Big difference between being obese or even slightly chubby and being movie-star thin five months after delivery. Not sure what circles you travel in, but I just don't buy that "most" women in NW DC would look as good as Jessica Alba five months out. I believe that it might be a thinner group, for sure, but even these ultra-rich, move star circles are abuzz at how amazing she looks. By the way, I do think it is a mix of genetics and hard work. But she also probably doesn't eat much. |
Neither did mine, x2 pregnancies. Still an innie. |
| i had a boss that when her baby was born she was in shape in no time, she went to the gym all the time, so if you work out , and you are still active during pregnancy you should be able to bounce back pretty fast, but if you eat a lot and not move you will be pudgy |
| also they have cooks and trainers at home and nannies so they can get pretty fast, that swhy they are celebrities not the norm |
And the additional time to exercise because they aren't breastfeeding, can sleep through the night, etc. Jesica can take a shower anytime she wants to. |
I'm jealous of women who still have belly buttons. Mine is more like a crater. |
This is it. No big deal people. In my spin class that I take 4xs a week, there is a woman who is being INDUCED on Monday because her baby is late. She was in spin today and she looks amazing for being 41 weeks pregnant. I have NO DOUBT she will be back in spin probably before her doctor clears her and she will be looking completely amazing within 6 weeks. An amazing postpartum body does not come for free. A great body after 35 takes work. |
|
no, i think she exercised a lot and dieted. She's gone on record to say that she's on 1,200 calories + exercise so she's always hungry.
i looked pretty much like that 5 months after I had my daughter. I'm a daily exerciser, which I continued during the pregnancy, and lost all the weight by 5 months post-partum. It's possible to still have a good stomach after baby (or 2) if you're not an "apple" shape and you have the diet/abwork/cardio under control. I only have one, though - who knows what I'd look like after 2. (some of my friends bounced back after 2 just like they did after 1, though. it can happen.) |

Its not that hard if you want to put the time and effort into it. Like this poster, I was an exerciser before, during, and after. After baby #2, I really stepped up my game and do a very intense cardio 6xs a week and heavy weights 3xs a week. I'm in the best shape of my life and can rock a bikini. I'm lucky that I never got that ab separation thing some people get, so after about 4 months of work post partum, I had my 6 pack back. Baby #2 came at 35.
It makes all the difference in the world if you simply eat right and do vigerious exercise, that breaks a serious sweat and makes you sore as hell.
