Prince Albert's new princess

I'm really not getting the posters who keep saying essentially that Charlene and Kate are pretty in an ordinary way. I think they're lovely.

what is a beard?

Why can't these guys get married when they are young and still have hair?! Charlene married a middle-aged guy with baby-mamas. They really should have let Caroline run that place.

Not sure how she'll remain content long-term, being with a man who could be her father. But to each her own.

No, I think it has a lot less to do with the female "cover" than the male who is trying to cover up his homosexuality... at least that's how I've always understood it. Honestly, I know very little about the Prince or his Princess (other than seeing a rather bland premarital interview on CNN the other day) but I guess some people think the Prince is gay.

Oh okay. I was thinking you meant that Pippa was a beard. And somehow that seemed to make sense. I could see that.

I may be the only one to disagree here but this princess is just a bland generic blonde. Like the ones I see 25 times in DC everyday ...not impressed.

Just another Barbie doll. Dull.

She's an Olympian. And I think Albert fancies himself as one (yes, I know he was too but maybe not so hard when you bobsled while representing a sun-drenched place and your folks are filthy rich and run the country). Actually, it doesn't surprise me he married her. I think he will make his kids Olympians too.

Why in the hell does Kate have to be the embodiment of Diana? I don't remember anyone comparing Diana to her husband's mother. Grow up.

I didn't write the above, but I believe the thinking is that both Princess Grace and Princess Diana were style icons. Queen Elizabeth was not. People are waiting to see if Charlene and Kate will live up to their mothers-in-law for that reason.

Personally, I don't think a young girl like Kate should have shellacked and red-carpeted hair. Loose flowing hair is lovely on her.

It's being reported that Albert needs to take a paternity test for yet another child. No wonder the poor girl looked so miserable.

FWIW, I always thought Diana had fugly hair.

Ha! I always thought so, too!

Yes! It was looking pretty good right before she died. Too bad.

The Prince has a surprising number of children for a gay guy, so I'm thinking beard isn't the word we're looking for here. I'm not sure there is one for the woman married to bear the heirs.
