You go into the office and get your work done. Just like all the other adults.

I finished all my work during the snow days bc teachers tend to work on their "off duty" hours. What do they want me to do now? Stare at the wall?

I'll probably shoot hoops in the gym and take a nap in the teacher's lounge

I feel like I'm the only one who still has not had my new classes uploaded into Synergy or Canvas. I have Canvas Admin rights so I can go to my co-teacher's canvas classes and see them but I am not added as a co-teacher on any of them yet.

Wait, are you saying teachers are getting offices?

There are lots of people who don’t work in offices. How did you reach adulthood and still think everyone’s life is exactly like yours?

Can teachers do that? Start telling you that you need to do carpool duty or shouldn’t expect to pee because you should be “like all the other adults”? Or is it just you who is so special that you think your normal is everyone’s normal?

The announcement is pretty clear that everyone needs to report to their normal worksite.

The announcement I saw said staff. In education, staff is a separate category from teachers/faculty.

I finished mine 2 weeks ago. So did many others.

I'm sure that's true of many teachers. However, MCPS was closed all last week including on the grading day, so if any teachers aren't finished yet it sounds like they are expected to finish tomorrow, which would mean they have to work tomorrow.

What did you do with them last Monday? It’s the same thing

It's actually not. Last week specifically mentioned a telework option that this weeks announcement has strangely omitted.

I realize this is just a way to meet federal IEP requirements and create “equity” for students with unsafe walks/bus stops but it really stinks.

They will probably also make some stupid requirement about no new learning and must be reteaching or some nonsense.

That’s on their parents. My kids will be doing your assignments and if they don’t there will be consequences.

Correct - mine won’t be doing remote work. It’s all stupid busy work - we learned in 2020-21 that remote teaching doesn’t work, and I don’t believe in making the same mistake twice.

I swear some of these parents only want assignments given out because they measure their self worth with their students grades. They desperately need their kids to be evaluated, and evaluated well, to justify that they are being good parents.

Its just like how 98% of my parent teacher conferences are with parents whose kids have an A in my class and they need that verbal pat on the back for it.

Just shifted to orange, schools closed, grades back to when we get schools re-open. Office opens on time.

I just curious as to what they will have teachers do tomorrow. I assume grades, but most are already done.
