What does a balanced diet even mean?

It's not complicated. Never understood why it's difficult for many people. Nor do I spend hours cooking fussy meals daily.


Fix the bolded parts and you will be on a healthier path.

Well, I assume you are here in the US, if not in the DMV itself.

Not even knowing you, I can tell you to make each plate at least 1/2 vegetables and I feel pretty confident that would do it. Varying protein sources could probably help you as well -- especially adding fish and legumes. Add some nuts and seeds as well (I put them on my breakfast yogurt or hot cereal every morning to get them in).
