We let the kids choose the two places. Pretty sure he had eaten Panera before because he asked for a particular sandwich. And at McDonald’s he was very specific about a cheeseburger meal, with just cheese and ketchup, fries and Dr Pepper. |
Give it to his dad? My DH wouldn’t have probably eaten it on the way home. Ha. |
Yea, if he ordered food, it implies hunger. But, then, decided to ball it up regardless if hungry or not, is just wasteful. IDK, maybe it's just how I was raised, but I would have not been a good thing if my parents found out that I was getting food bought for me and then balling it up and wasting it and not bringing it home for someone else in my family to have. This is coming from a kid that only ever went out to eat on pretty special occasions - heck, getting the Book It certificates for a free personal pan pizza at Pizza Hut was a huge deal. |
+1 Kid was rude and I would not buy him anything anymore. |
| I notice people who post here take everything said to or in front of them the worst way possible. I would just assume he doesn't much like McDonalds and she's letting you know he will eat Shake Shack for the future. In the future I'd tell him "Please don't get food you won't eat, just tell us something similar you'd like instead so we don't waste like last time." |

I’d probably be irked too OP if I spent my money on food for kid that didn’t want it.
I don’t get the SS comment at all so no idea what that was about. We don’t usually eat McDonald’s either bit my kid would eat a sim chicken sandwich and fries if that’s where a friends mom offered to get food. |
WTF, you think he should have saved it and given his family cold McDs??? that's not even safe from a food perspective! you're weird, op. |
Oh my goodness, he could have had an upset stomach or something. He tried to conceal he didn't eat it. You told his mother?>??!!!! You are in the wrong, I don't care what his mother said. |
🙄 |
| and how did you realize this, as you said he tried to conceal? were you going thru his bag? so weird OP. Unclench |
🙄🙄 (size 4, BTW, before you bother being predictable) |
You are absolutely absurd. Just FYI. |
| Agree with everyone saying you were rude and weird to monitor him balling up what he didn't eat. Everything else flowed from that bizarre and inappropriate action. |
|
Poor kid. I’d feel bad that he felt bad enough that was trying to hide it from me.
Then you tell his mom. Then you tell hundreds of strangers on the internet. Practice kindness, OP. |
