This is like US magazine when they have the segment “Stars, they are just like us”.

That’s your contribution on Chevy Chase MD? They have protests. You forgot to mention they also have grocery stores and drug stores and schools and sidewalks.

Also walkable to the fancy country clubs.

Inaccurate but you are unlikely to believe me.

Oh, ok. It's a very diverse place to grow up when it's demographics are 85% white and wealthy.

It’s likely that a majority don’t…but a significant minority do. Best estimates are that 35%-40% do.

CC covers a larger area than perhaps you think.

I think a majority do. Mine were at BCC and I am pretty sure that 2/3rds of the neighborhood kids went there.

Except, BCC covers Bethesda, CC and what I would consider Western Silver Spring (though I don't know if the parts West of Grubb Road, but call it East of Brookfield Rd are considered Silver Spring or CC or what). This thread is specifically about CC, MD.

Like you’re such an expert on the area - lol!

The Hamlet is the best not-so-hidden gem in Chevy Chase.

The area around East-West Highway and Grubb, zoned for Rock Creek Forest ES, just east of what you consider Western Silver Spring, is in fact CC, MD. Same city and zip code as the Town, the Village, Martin’s Addition. Just more down to earth.

Somehow this reminds me of how, when a new garage door company came to repair mine in zip code 20895 - Kensington, but pretty far north - the guy is talking to his boss on the phone in another language, and all I can understand is “Bethesda, Chevy Chase,” and I shouted, “Wheaton is right there!” But he still charged me the ritzy neighborhood rate, alas.

Boundaries are funny.

Not really...I mean, it's the geography of CC MD. It's a factual statement about cross-streets, nothing more. So, what is it one "knows"?

Basically, CCMD is a zip code - 20185. It spans a wide area from Rock Creek Forest in the East to Kenwood in the West. Lots of different neighborhoods but there’s not really a there there.

That it is Brookville Road, oh dumb one!

The streets are narrow and the closets are tiny. Too much congestion. Leave the house in a car and go to a coffee shop takes an hour to arrive. It takes a half a day just to do grocery shopping
