Still too high. UVA has no business in T50. I don’t hate it but honestly it’s been overrated for decades.

Because you say so.

It should be T5, it's obvious that you didn't get in and you are still upset about it but it is outrageous the level of delusion you must be in to smear a school just because they chose to admit people who actually deserved to get in. Does that rejection letter still make you cry?

It really depends on the yardstick.

By your yardstick, where do UNC, Florida, Michigan, the various UCs, Notre Dame, NYU, USC, Emory being?

Because outside of ivy+ it's all a matter of preferences imho

But, but, it’s obviously better than schools like WashU and Chicago because we can get in state tuition and DC is not in the Midwest.

As I said on another thread, your DMV bias makes many of you blind to to the truth. UVA is a very good second tier (25-50 ranked) school. Other are UGA and Bucknell. It isn’t a bad thing, so accept it.

For those that care, falling out of the T25 is significant. For the rest of us it isn't a big deal.

Not exactly, Emory and ND have historically always been ranked higher than UVa. Uva tied with Emory for only 2 years and is back to being lower. The others its a mixed bag.

The truth is that you and your whole family was rejected from the best college in the nation and you are so angry and irrational you must come on here and smear it like a depraved mourner

US News is a game and if you want to play the game then manipulate this: https://www.usnews.com/education/best-colleges/articles/how-us-news-calculated-the-rankings ;

Just increasing the faculty salaries counts more than the faculty publishing ground breaking papers. Doesn't seem like it should be that way.
Graduation rates account the most, so make it easier to graduate? OK UVA make the classes easier now.

And the master of gaming USNWR is NEU. https://www.ivycoach.com/the-ivy-coach-blog/the-rankings/northeasterns-rise-in-the-rankings/ from 120 to 54 in 2 decades? And UC Merced in a shorter time.

My concerns for a good school would be: Faculty Citations, Graduation Outcome, Student Faculty ratio, and Student Debt. Those should be the only thing in the rankings. I really don't care how much the Profs get paid. I want their data and re-rank based on these criteria,

It's so funny that people who live in Virginia seem happy that it might be ranked lower. It makes no sense. It's good for Virginia to have highly ranked schools.

Honestly, I would guess it's about quieting the people who act like UVA is the best school in the country and that those who don't like it or don't go there must have been rejected b/c everyone should worship that school.

+100 go Hokies!! (Chose VT over UVA back in the 90s). “The University” was insufferable.
