I hate people who intentionally make their car loud and rev them for no reason.

I was behind a BMW SUV like this yesterday. It was so ridiculous.

Manual transmission has nothing to do with this. Usually it’s due to aftermarket exhaust that is intentionally loud. It’s also not on a specific type of vehicle. It can be a sedan, coupe, suv, huge pickup truck or motorcycle.

It's the whistle tips. Woo woooooo!

This is what I attribute to people who display that behavior.

Needed higher flow rate for my upgraded turbo and intake manifold. My Milltek cat-back exhaust is pretty sweet sounding. Sorry but not sorry.

Omg some cars are notorious: Dodge Chargers, old Infinity sports car or Q45’s, Honda Civics, old Acura Integras, the dang Subaru WRX’s and big trucks that love to smokescreen. My teen DD is an Eq girl and owns a huge 2-ton truck that is godawful and noisy and she loves to smokescreen and rev her truck with a multi-gendered group of friends. So it is not just the guys.

We must live in the same neighborhood. We have one of these too.

Same as that loud bass music junk. They want attention. Mommy must not have given them enough as a child.

Reminder that IQ is mostly genetic. You can’t do much about it and it’s kind of mean to insult people with a low IQ.

Same! It was so bad we had to sell our house and move.

That BMW SUV (depending on type) is a $90k to $150k supercar (well, the engine is) and is made that way. It has a loud engine and exhaust from the factory - ridiculous or not, it's not some kid adding fart cans to it.

You’re not getting a proper exhaust note because your exhaust is spinning a turbo first before it gets to anything else. The burble is gone as soon as the exhaust pulses hit those blades.

You can have a turbocharger, or you can have a good exhaust note.

Pick one.
